Southern Freedoms

We did this photo shoot, thanks to Uncle Tio Photography, in Fayetteville, Texas thanks to Evon Schulze and family and my cousins Pat and Mitchell Draehn for the truck.  My mom came up with this recipe for dog treats and one of our rescue dogs, Ruger, just loves them!  This recipe is in the cookbook.

As a southern girl, I am respectful of my country and President and thank God for the principals in for which is was founded.  I am proud to be an American and thank the many who have fought and continue to fight for our freedoms.

Recipe for dog treats:

1 cup canned pumpkin, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda

Mix all ingredients and roll out and use cookie cutter to cut out dog bone shapes.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Drizzle with bacon grease combined with peanut butter.

May your dogs enjoy them like Ruger!!
