A Kind Eye

I don’t pretend to know everything about horses.  In fact, I am far from it.  Ever since I was a little girl I have been attracted to them.  It never gets old touching them and to smell the scent of a horse.

Most people can get a feel for a horse just by the look of their eye.  I have heard it said many times “that horse has a kind eye”.  I wonder what a horse may say about you and me?  Do we have a kind eye?  Do we have something nice to say or offer to someone today?  I am not always good at this I must admit.

As we go out this weekend, maybe we can be a witness to someone by just the things we say or do.  We can have the same “kind eye” effect as that of a horse.

The eyes are the gateway to our souls.  Read Matthew 6:22-24.  “The eye is the lamp of the body.  You draw light into your body through your eyes, and light shines out to the world through your eyes.  So if your eye is well and shows you what is true, then your whole body will be filled with light.  But if your eye is clouded with evil, then your body will be filled with evil and dark clouds.  And the darkness that takes over the body of a child of God who has gone astray-that is the deepest, darkest darkness there is”.

A “kind eye” begins with what we use our eyes for daily and what we allow in our souls.  The many times I have and continue to fall are the times my eyes are not fixed on Jesus.  Guard your eyes on what you allow in and I pray that each one of us can be a light to shine for Him.

This is a good lesson for me today and everyday!

Enjoy your weekend!

  2. Tina, thanks for taking time to share your thoughts and insight. The way we see, say, and do things are surely a sign of our faith. I pray that l can say and do things that are pleasing to God❣️
