God forms each one of us.

Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

God forms each of us in the womb.  Humanity is the highest of all of God’s creation.  And what is being formed in the womb is in the image of God.

Jeremiah 1:5 God said “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”  Who we are, our identity, is known to God even before he forms us in the womb!  God has a plan for the unborn child.  God’s will for our days is already set out.  Already in the womb, God has a purpose and a plan for us.  For only in the resurrection will be both fearfully and wonderfully made and perfect.  And this is when God “will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things will have passed away.”  Revelation 21:4

I was born to young, teenage parents who could have opted to not give me life.  I am thankful that they made the decision to bring me into the world and to give me their best.  The Bible says that children are a gift from God.  Every single life, every single child, is a reward and blessing.  Whether they’re bringing parents pride and joy, or whether they are teaching us how to be more patient and forgiving, children are a gift from God and a source for the growth of His Kingdom here on Earth!

If you have the opportunity to step in to help with or even raise a child that is not your own, you are embodying the heart of God.

Mark 9:37 “Whoever welcomes one of the little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

Thank you God for the gift of life!
