John 16:33 Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!”
When Jesus accepted his Father’s will to go to the cross, he broke and defeated the power of sin and death. He ensued that death would not have the final say. We can have peace in the midst of sorrows and trials, not because they are easy but because the hard things of this life are temporary. Our peace is not in the absence of strife or troubles, but in Jesus and what he has done to make our future sure!
When Jesus walked the earth, he promised his followers that the days of darkness will be many. But the hope remains in that creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
God never promised a life with no storms.
He promised to be there when you face them.
