“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1

This time of year is so amazing in Texas! The wildflowers are super and this year is no exception. As I find myself many days, hurried and busy, I tell myself to slow down and take in the wonderful creation that God has provided on earth for us to enjoy. I saw a field of total red yesterday, filled with Indian Paint Brush flowers and I actually stopped and sat and took it in. There was a farmhouse on the hill in the distance and a windmill slowly turning. I truly gazed and thought how beautiful it was and how awesome God is to have created this view for my eyes to see.

Creation is all around us every day. Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.”

Nature reveals to us God’s beauty, glory, power, wisdom, presence, creativity, and, most of all, his loving care. In Psalm 19 David praises God for nature, verses 1-6 “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.”

We can know and love and worship God through His amazing and beautiful creation that speaks forth His praises to everyone, everywhere, every day. Today I pray that you enjoy Him and His beautiful creation. Soak in every moment and draw close to God today.
