Making decisions. I read some time back a Joyce Meyer’s study on making decisions. I thought this was simple but yet so good. 5 Scriptures for Making Decisions:

1. Luke 5:16 – Tune Out Distractions
“So He himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.”

2. Proverbs 19:20 – Seek Godly Advice
“Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.”

3. James 4:1 – Narrow Down Your Choices
“What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?”

4. James 1:22 – Do Something
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what is says.”

5. Psalm 28:7 – Give Thanks For Answers
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trust in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.”

One of the greatest gifts the Lord has given us is the power to choose. There is power in God’s Word to change your life, and the more you read and study it, the more joy, strength and freedom you will experience.

One of the things that I have learned over time is patience. This is just a personal journey that God has given me the last several years. I have found that through this I have solely relied upon Him and His word and put my trust and faith in His timing and answers to prayers for the many tough decisions I have made and continue to make. I enlist the things above and it truly has helped me make some tough decisions. Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

God, I am so glad and so thankful You understand everything I go through and struggle with. When I am tempted to take the path of least resistance, I will find my strength in You to make the tough decisions. J.Meyers
