“If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:9-10
This picture was taken yesterday at the Brookgreen Gardens in Georgetown County, South Carolina. The beauty of the gardens and the history is breath taking. There are many sculptures and art work and this one caught my eye as it relates to this bible verse.
The Psalmist in this verse reminds us that nothing can distance us from God. God still leads us, God wants us to follow His will and He holds us in His hands.
There is comfort in knowing no matter where I go, God is always there. He is there to guide and sustain me. Even when I’m in places I am not supposed to be, doing things I am not supposed to do, He is still there, I can turn to Him in repentance and receive His grace. I can turn to him in need and receive His strength. I can turn to Him and know I am not along.
Thank you, Father, for loving me and personally knowing me. Thank you for the assurance that I do not have to face a day without you. Thank you for the comfort of knowing that I will never face my sorrows alone. Thank you for the strength that sustains me when I don’t have the strength to go on. Thank you that when tomorrow dawns, I will be with you no matter what happens during the night. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen (P. Ware)
