Empires of the Soul. Many graduations are taking place and I was fortunate to attend my daughter’s yesterday at Texas A&M University. Michael K. Young, President, spoke on Winston Churchill’s words “empires of the future will be empires of the mind.” The empires of the future are the empires of the mind, empires of ideas. Innovation is more important than ever. It’s about innovating and developing new products and marketing your own creations. The core of successful businesses is they were founded based on ideas.
For many students, they now will be deciding their next step in life. Whether to pursue additional education or find a job. God cares about every intricate detail in our lives. Jesus said that even the number of hairs on our heads are numbered. Luke 12:7 “Indeed, the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
“For I know the plans, I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13
In all situations including those that are hard, God’s plan will stand. He wants you to know that as we submit to His plan, He will use us to bless the world around us. The key still remains during both good and difficult times: You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.
We are people destined to make a difference for Christ in this world. Commit your life to Christ, it’s a free gift for all of us. As we use our minds to develop new ideas and innovations, may we first and foremost discover God’s vision for our life. We were born with the potential to live extraordinary lives. Do not let life’s distractions and discouragements hold you hostage. Do not allow today’s circumstances to keep you from moving towards tomorrow’s promises.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
God has a plan for you. And it will be used to Bless the world around you.
