Use Your Time Wisely. James 4:14 “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for little while and then vanishes.”
Our time is short! The time we can invest for God, in creative things, in reaching our fellowmen for Christ, is short!
Daniel 6:10 “Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs from where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.” Daniel, a great ruler of the Persian empire, in charge of the King’s affairs and the affairs of the entire government. He was busy. But in spite of all his responsibility, he makes it a point to set himself apart from the world and pray three times a day. How busy are we really? And busy doing what?
If we are neglecting to meet personally with God, then we are simply doing more than He intended. There is so much work to be done, but not at the expense of our most important relationship.
Each hour of every day that is left of this early life, I would spend serving You, Lord Jesus. Forgive the time spent so often in needless endeavor.
