Glorifying His Name. 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

What does it mean to glorify God? It means to bring him honor through what we say, how we act, and how we think, how we treat others. To glorify God means to acknowledge His glory and to value it above all things. To glorify God means we make it known to others. To glorify God means we have a heartfelt gratitude. We glorify God through our faith. We glorify God through our love. We glorify God through our desire to obey Him. We glorify God through our desire to know Him.

Isaiah 43:7 says, “Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Our purpose here on earth is to glorify God.

To glorify God is to set God highest in our thoughts, and, to have a venerable esteem of him, “But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.” Psalm 92:8

Glorifying God consists in worship. “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Psalm 29:2

Love is not a feeling. Love is something that you do, and it produces a feeling. If you really love someone, you show it. You do something. You don’t just say, “I love you.” We tell the world that God loves them, but those are words. We also need to show them that God loves them. How do we do this? Through our actions! Loving others through our actions brings glory to God.

We bring glory to God when we love on another. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35

Let all your words and actions today be to glorify our Father in heaven!

Matthew 5:15 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
