If God is Your Co-Pilot, Switch Seats. A few days ago as I traveled through the small town of Industry, Texas I saw this on a sign at a small country church. It caught my attention because my husband is a commercial airline pilot and my son is also flying. So I understood the lingo. A co-pilot is a second pilot in an aircraft. The pilot however is in charge and calls the shots. The co-pilot’s job is important, but he never forgets who’s in charge.
You see if we say “God is my co-pilot”, in essence, we are saying “God is my helper. I call the shots and God does my bidding.” I don’t know about you, but my life doesn’t work very well when I try to call the shots. When I think I’m the boss and God simply does as I wish.
Proverbs 19:21 “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.”
Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”
God is training me as His co-piot. My life and world run perfectly as long as I remember who’s in charge.
Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
For sure, God is in charge!!,
